A line up of "The bike of choice in India"
In August 2008 l find myself with Frank & Denis ridding Enfields in India/Himalayas and the first thing l thing l learn about this expedition is the state of my feet from raising damp, web feet, trench foot, yes my moto cross type boots are leaking, however "The Alt-Berg Twins" have very dry feet. So since that spiritual time l have become a convert to www.altberg.co.uk

Michael and "The Altberg Twins"
So now to Saturday 21st January 2012, l find myself in Richmond at the Alt-Berg factory shop trying to get my right boot repair/refurbishment, however this service is now discontinued because of the 20% vat added, thus making it too costly. The DEAL now is that you get a discount of about £30 on the next pair of Alt-bergs,s o l left with a new pair.

The next part of my journey took me to www.blacksheepbrewery.com country over the tops to Nidderdale www.uwfra.org.uk weather forecast winds over 50 mph. Found www.howstean.co.uk and the
http://sites.google.com/site/mzoverland/etz the MZRC Winter Rally was supported by the Cossack Owners and Panther Club, however no Panthers seen , just not cold enough for them.
Next to find a spot to camp with some shelter from the wind, so took a tip from the friendly locals, www.herdwicksheep.co.uk/index.html and camp near the stone wall to protect myself from the elements. Time to take a stroll and check out the NIGHT LIFE, first stop was upwards to the Crown Hotel at Middlesmoor.

www.nidderdale.co.uk/crownhotel but very dry at this time of day, opens again at 1900pm. Downwards to Lofthouse and our camp site for night. Motorcycles in the wind/rain are, Dnepr/BMW (pictured earlier above), A MZ that holds up trees! A "family" sidecar. A Ural in Yorkshire desert paint. A gem of a James.

Darkness came to Nidderdale so "A Few Chosen Men/Women" walked the epic uphill journey to the Crown at Middlesmoor AGAIN!, very motorcycle friendly even as a motorcycle exhaust system bolt to the wall over the dart board.

Donate by www.mike-edwards.fsnet.co.uk and www.manx.co.uk but all goods things come to end and when the BAR MAID puts on her PUDDING BASIN and said "its time gentle man please. "
So off into the wind, yes it was still blowing, but the sky was clear, a great time to star gaze on our return downhill journey.

Bye for now from a man with dry feet. Michael.
